Burdick Bros Inc. was founded in 1985 by brothers Jim and Gene Burdick, along with their wives Deborah and Lucy. They established a reputation for custom repair, manufacturing, and machine diagnostic services in the Upper Midwest. Since its inception, Burdick Bros Inc. has adapted and expanded to meet customers’ schedules, equipment needs, and budgets.

The team consistently seeks ways to enhance capabilities to address customers’ evolving requirements. In 1996, the acquisition of a 5000lb capacity dynamic balancing machine extended service offerings across South Dakota and neighboring states, including dynamic balancing, vibration analysis, and laser alignment services using advanced instruments.

In 1998, the company relocated to a larger facility in Redfield’s Industrial Park, enabling the construction of a 217 ft arched steel walk-bridge for Redfield City Park. The increasing size of customer equipment necessitated another building expansion in 2012.

Burdick Bros Inc. further expanded capabilities by upgrading cutting processes to include a CNC plasma table, adding more dealer inventory, and becoming an authorized Linde distributor.

The year 2012 saw the retirement of Gene and Lucy, followed by the retirement of Jim and Deborah in January 2025, with new ownership transitioning to Jason and Tifani O’Daniel. Jason has been a dedicated employee of Burdick Bros Inc. for the last 20 years and looks forward to growing the business as the new owner. Jason and Tifani have will continue to uphold the same business standards that Burdick Bros has maintained since 1985.
